
The exposition representing life in Veliko Tarnovo from the Second Bulgarian Kingdom period (from the Asenevtsi uprising in 1185 to the fall of Turkish slavery in 1393) subordinated the possibilities of the latest Hollywood silicone with typical Bulgarian ingenuity and perseverance to cope with the set limits.

The prison-museum is housed in a 19th-century building built by the Turkish authorities specifically for a prison. It was used as intended until the 1950s.

The Museum of New and Recent History is located next to the prison museum in Veliko Turnovo. The temporary exhibition “Veliko Tarnovo and the Bulgarian Statehood” is on display in one of its halls.

Archaeological Museum - the most valuable archeological finds from the Veliko Turnovo region from ancient times to the fourteenth century are on display here. You can see the unique Hotnichesky gold treasure from the Neolithic era, a rich collection of clay artifacts from the Roman era, specimens of bronze and stone plastics.

The National Revival and Constituent Assembly Museum is located in the northern part of Saedinenie Square in Veliko Tarnovo, near the Archaeological Museum.

Sarafkina House is located on Gurko Street in the Renaissance part of Veliko Tarnovo. It was built in 1861. It was intended for the home and workplace of Dimo Sarafina.
