The International Folklore Festival is an event that has become a tradition for the cultural life of the old capital. A truly long-awaited holiday for residents and guests of the city on hot summer days.

The beginning of the festival is in 1998. It is one of 270 recognized by CIOF

F numerous festivals around the world. The status of CIOFF, the perfect organization, attractive program and exceptional response make it one of the most prestigious events of this magnitude in Eastern Europe. Every year, groups from around the world travel thousands of kilometers to present the beauty and uniqueness of their folklore to the Turnovo public. ; some of the best folklore, music and dance ensembles that came to Bulgaria for the sole purpose of being part of the biggest holiday in the most beautiful Bulgarian city.

The festival takes place on the stage of the Summer Theater in Marno Pole Park.
